Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 23rd May 2025
DearTomorrow (deartomorrow.co.uk) is a platform that allows users to send messages to their future selves or their loved ones. By using our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part, you should not use our services.
1. About Our Service
DearTomorrow allows users to write, store, and schedule personal messages (letters) to be delivered at a future date, including after the user's death. Delivery may be physical, digital, or both.
2. Eligibility
By using our platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the service.
3. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content of your message. You must not include material that is defamatory, illegal, threatening, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate. We reserve the right to suspend or delete content that violates these terms.
4. Storage and Delivery
- We will store your letter until the specified delivery date, or until we are otherwise notified to deliver (e.g., after your death).
- It is your responsibility to ensure that recipient information (address, email, etc.) is accurate and up to date. We are not responsible for failed delivery due to outdated or incorrect information.
- Letters may be stored physically, digitally, or both, depending on the service selected.
- We reserve the right to deliver digitally in place of physical delivery if postage is not possible or practical due to force majeure or delivery barriers.
5. After-Death Delivery
If your letter is to be delivered after your death, you must include instructions in your will or notify a trusted contact. We are not responsible for non-delivery where no such notification occurs. Legal text and sample instructions are provided for inclusion in your estate documents.
6. Attachments and Media
You may upload optional media files (photos, video, audio) to accompany your message. You confirm that you own the rights to such media and grant us permission to store and deliver it securely. All media is encrypted and private unless explicitly stated otherwise by you.
7. Payments and Refunds
- All payments are final and non-refundable unless legally required. This includes one-time fees, add-ons, and long-term storage options.
- Lifetime storage means we will hold your letter indefinitely, subject to your estate notifying us when delivery should occur. We cannot guarantee delivery without this notification.
8. Limitation of Liability
We do our best to deliver your message securely and on time, but we are not liable for damages resulting from failed or delayed delivery, loss of data, or technical issues beyond our control. This includes but is not limited to postal service errors, natural disasters, data corruption, or third-party hosting failures.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service for any reason, including violation of these terms or abuse of the platform. You may request to delete your letter(s) at any time prior to delivery.
10. Data and Privacy
Your data is treated with care and encrypted wherever possible. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your information.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
